A close friend and member of our social network Ralph, sent an email this week with a great testimony of his friend who has been healed after confessing the word.
He says...
Over the last month Jonno has obtained a clear breakthrough over his
illness, by taking the Word of God and PROCLAIMING it over his body.
Proclamation is an aggressive use of the Sword of the Spirit and
requires real faith.

Dear Friends,
I have a close friend Jonno who has suffered acute fatigue for many years following a bout of Ross River Fever.
He tried literally everything ranging from traditional medicine to alternate therapies. Natural foods to vitamin supplements. Nothing worked.
Over the last month Jonno has obtained a clear breakthrough over his illness, by taking the Word of God and PROCLAIMING it over his body. Proclamation is an aggressive use of the Sword of the Spirit and requires real faith.
It is interesting to note that God uses spoken words for great power. He spoke the worlds into existence, He uses preaching and teaching of His Word to convert from unbelief, He gives words of prophecy as a gift and he also gives gifts of speaking in other languages, as well as words of knowledge and words of wisdom.
Spoken words seem to have a power of their own. I do not understand how this works nor why. The Bible teaches that everything we say can become either blessing or cursing to ourselves and others. We need to be careful what we say! And proclamation seems to have in some instances a special power that surpasses prayer. Perhaps because the proclamation is itself a speaking out of the will of God revealed to us , in the first place, through prayer. It seems that once we know God’s will revealed through prayer He blesses us when we speak it out which is an expression of faith.
Although I had a nominal belief in the power of proclamation, I now can truly see that the Word of God is all powerful in the spirit as well as the physical realm. And there is a particular power in proclaiming God's Word.
Over the last few months, God has given me quickened words ( rhegma) over certain aspects of my life. I am now following Jonno's example by not only believing these things , but actually proclaiming them by speaking them out loud.
Mealtimes are a great time to proclaim these as there are usually other people present. Proclamation is I think better used as a public rather than private matter. To proclaim to oneself is one thing, to proclaim to others is different again.
Anyway here are a few proclamations that Jonno has been using. Of course any Scripture that God quickens to us can be used. Asking God to show us which words to proclaim is I think is the key.
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I put on the full armour of God and take my stand so that I can fight against the devil's schemes. I stand strong with the belt of truth tied around my waist. On my chest I wear the breastplate of righteousness. My feet are fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I put on the helmet of salvation and take hold of the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. I am alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10ff
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Jesus Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 OR I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Jesus Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
I worship the Lord my God, and His blessing is on my food and water. He will take away sickness from me. He will give me a full life span. Exodus 23:25-26 My eyes are ever on the Lord for only He can release my feet from the snare. Psalm 25:15 It is good that I have been afflicted that I might learn the ways of the Lord. Psalm 119:71
I encourage you to get aggressive with the Word of God and start proclaiming it over a stronghold that has resisted even fervent prayer. Let me know your thoughts.

God quickens the word to you for specific things...and you voice it. The quickened word is BELIEVABLE...where we say I KNOW BECAUSE I KNOW BECAUSE I KNOW BECAUSE GOD SAID IT. This is what has happened with me in dealing with disease. He gives a TIMELY word for a SPECIFIC thing and I speak it, I meditate on it and BELIEVE it is part of my make up...both spiritually and physically. It is not a doctrine to be expressed as a series of do's and don't's for everyone to follow. It is a matter of ones self TUNED IN to God and receiving what HE gives. It may be entirely different for another situation or another person. "My scriptures" through the sickness were Gal 2:20 and Nahum 1:9 is still "mine" every time I go for a checkup.
